Welcome Letter from Mrs. Harmon
Greetings Parents and Students:
My name is Tanya Harmon, current principal of Pennsauken Intermediate School.
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Intermediate School Family. Prior to becoming principal of the Intermediate School, I was formerly the principal of George B. Fine Elementary School and the 8th Grade Assistant Principal at Howard M. Phifer Middle School.
In 2002, I began my teaching career at the Intermediate School as both a Fifth grade and a Sixth grade teacher. In 2007, I left the Intermediate School to transition into an administrative role both at the middle school and the elementary school level. Eleven years later, I am very excited to be home again and to be apart of this new restructuring of the Intermediate School.
Pennsauken Intermediate School is a nurturing learning environment that provides high quality, equitable education to students in the Fourth grade and the Fifth grade. In addition to our academic classes, our school offers a variety of specialized programs, such as the Autism program and the English Language Learner (ELL) program to accommodate our diverse student learners.
Our teachers are committed to ensuring that our students are given the best classroom instruction to promote their academic, their social-emotional, and their physical growth and achievement in order to prepare them for their transition to the next level of their educational career. At the Intermediate School, we believe in fostering positive school community, exhibiting respect for self and for others, and showing pride in all that we do. We encourage our students to strive for the best and to work to their fullest potential.
Thank you for being apart of our school community and we look forward to a very productive school year!
"The best of all things is to learn. Money can be lost or stolen, health and strength may fail, but what you have committed to your mind is yours forever." - Louis L'Amour

She has been an Assistant Principal in the Pennsauken School District since the 2006/2007 school year. She attended Trenton State College and obtained her Bachelors of Art degree. She also attended the same school under their new name, The College of New Jersey, where she completed her graduate work and obtained her Masters degree in Educational Leadership.
Prior to coming to Pennsauken High School, Ms. Turner worked as an Assistant Principal at Northern Burlington High School and taught for 10 years in the Camden City School system.
In her role as an administrator, it has been her goal to work with all students, families and staff to make sure each child reaches his or her potential and has a safe and successful educational journey.

Welcome Letter - Mr. DelGrippo
Hello! My name is John DelGrippo, and I'm proud to celebrate my 21st year serving the Pennsauken community. I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Temple University in 2002. In 2011, I completed my Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Cheyney University.
I began my teaching career in Philadelphia and spent 18 years in the classroom before transitioning into educational administration. My passion for education has always been focused on helping students grow, both academically and personally.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and rooting for the local sport teams in the area. I'm grateful to be part of such a dedicated and supportive community.
